Drop Weight Tear Testing Machine
Application
The DROP WEIGHT TEAR TESTING MACHINE is primarily used for testing ferrite steels to observe the specimen's fracture surface after impact, particularly within the temperature range where the fracture type transitions from non-ductile to ductile.
Divyansh Engineers offers a range of DROP WEIGHT TEAR TESTING MACHINES for measuring the fracture characteristics of steel specimens according to Recommended Practice API 5L3, EN 10274, and ASTM-E436. The DROP WEIGHT TEAR TESTING MACHINE can accommodate steel grades up to X120 and specimens up to 50mm thick.
Main Features
Very robust design and construction withstands high-energy testing
Variable impact energy by adjusting the mass and lifting height of the weight.
Easily interchangeable contact parts simplify maintenance and reduce downtime
Automated specimen loading ensures compliance with cycle times required by the test method.
Buffer provided to absorb residual energy after specimen breakage, protecting the weight and anvil from damage.
Comprehensive safety features including a safety net, maintenance safety pin, and hanger locking. Also includes a specimen carrying outfit, anti-fall system for the specimen, and centering device for quick, accurate, and reliable testing.
Very rigid base and anvils ensure minimal flexure under high test loads.
Guided system provided to maintain correct alignment of the specimen and anvil throughout the test.
High-quality, user-friendly control software ensures consistency
Liquid-type low-temperature chamber
Automatic specimen feeding system
Manual hydraulic press for notching.
